Pornic – SCHUMAN

Apartment building

The project is a residential building in R+2+C and consists of a basement garage.
It will comprise 30 housing units, 8 of which will be for social rental. In order to fit in with the context, the volumes of the building are worked in decrescendo from the rue Schuman: volume in ground floor+2+attic and wing in ground floor+2, volume more measured at the heart of the plot in ground floor+1+attic.
The architecture of the project is based on the fundamentals of Pornican seaside architecture:
. Hierarchy of levels with the singular treatment of the last levels engaged in the roofing
. Staging of in-between spaces, balconies, etc.
. Enhancement of the eaves with white carpentry work
. Highlighting levels with brick modenatures

The project will have a compact volume of oblique shape corresponding to the plot with several sets of different heights. The volumes will have a sub-base and attic treated in colour with modenatures. There will be an extension of the interior spaces towards the outside by the installation of balconies made up of wooden railings.

Friou Architecte is located at the crossroads of large western conurbations such as Rennes, Nantes, Vannes and Saint-Nazaire.
